Hyperbolic Schauberger Funnels and their potential as a unifying concept in modern water engineering The European Water Technology Week 2026, a gathering at the intersection of science, innovation, talent and business in water technology, will be held on October 26, 27 and 28 2026. Location: De Harmonie, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. On Tuesday, Oct. 27th, one of the parallel sessions is dedicated from 11:20 - 12:45 to Vortices in water technology: a new frontier This session explores the emerging role of vortical flow structures in water technology, from classical turbulence to more structured vortex regimes. Contributions will address both fundamental mechanisms and practical perspectives. A particular focus lies on the relevance of vortices for processes such as drinking water treatment and wastewater aeration, highlighting their potential as a unifying concept in modern water engineering.
